Semi Senior Staff Accountant
Location: Buenos Aires, Argentina

Job Description

Due to rapid success and growth, Solstice is expanding its Global Accounting and Finance function adding a Staff Accountant to the Buenos Aires team for having a key role in the Argentine and US accounting. This position will report to both our Finance Manager in Buenos Aires and Chicago and have the unique opportunity to help develop sound accounting practices, continue to build out the accounting and finance function of Solstice. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping an organization achieve its goals, be comfortable with ambiguity, and desire to continue to develop their own technical and soft skills with an outstanding and supportive team.

Experience Desired:

  • Advanced / Graduated Accounting student.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience with a focus on GL ownership and financial reporting.
  • Advanced communications skills.
  • Advanced Excel user (hands free of mouse a plus!)
  • General understanding of USGAAP.
  • Familiarity with Group level reporting packages.
  • Experience with consolidations, subsidiary, and international offices a big plus.
  • Experience working with Bejerman accounting software is also a plus.
  • Ability to quickly reprioritize in a constantly evolving environment.
  • Experience working with offshore teams.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Accounts payable, fixed assets, bank reconciliations and expense and budget tracking for both Argentina and US.
  • Ownership of all facets of GL: month end closing, financial statements preparation, journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Reporting responsibilities.
  • Completion of parent organization monthly, quarterly and annual reporting package.
  • Ad Hoc reporting.
  • Attending auditors and providing support for Tax presentations.
  • Provide recommendations to management with thorough analysis.
