Director of Product Strategy

We’re looking for a Director of Product Strategy to join our Chicago team. You will bring your own industry expertise and perspective from the outside, and infuse it with the high-performance talent and methodologies we currently have in place to take our practice to the next level.

You are just as excited about driving transformative change with digital solutions as we are, and are ready to do the following:

  • Co-create and articulate an ambitious vision for our Product Strategy practice
  • Lead, elevate, and coach the individuals in the practice
  • Direct the definition, establishment, and practices of digital product strategy capabilities (e.g. roadmapping, analytics, prioritization frameworks, etc.)
  • Create a team identity and culture based on servant leadership, transparency, and candor
  • Establish a sense of safety with your clients and the people on your teams
  • Advise clients on how to work across silos in their organizations and how they should structure their teams to best achieve success
  • Provide world-class, strategic digital product consulting services to a portfolio of Fortune 500 clients and serve as a trusted advisor on their transformation journeys
  • Design and facilitate strategic client workshops that create organizational alignment and inspire client leadership
  • Direct the creation and presentation of critical client deliverables
  • Gracefully resolve client escalations and leverage them as learning opportunities for your teams
  • Collaborate closely with User Experience Designers and Researchers to build empathy for target customer segments
  • Establish a thought leadership presence internally within the firm and externally in the innovation and emerging technology communities
  • Collaborate with key thinkers and leaders in Kin + Carta sister companies

 

You also meet the following requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, comfortable establishing executive level relationships and building teams of skilled practitioners
  • Ability to maintain constant focus in an environment of competing and alternating priorities
  • Capable of upwardly influencing the strategic direction of business solutions
  • 10+ years of Product Management experience
  • 3+ years of Strategy experience
  • 5+ years working with Agile delivery teams
  • Management consulting experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred
